Latino Authors that have participated and supported ELLAS

Throughout the years of our program we have had the honor of collaborating with Latina authors who understand the importance of giving back. Amongst those are Rosario Marin who served as the 41st Treasurer of the United States, an author and an internationally recognized public speaker. Other famous and successful authors include Julie Stav, Victor Villasenor, and Maria Marin. Many of our students have participated in seminars & workshops where they have heard the inspirational stories of these authors, read their books and have had them autographed. We encourage you to learn about them and read their books.

The ELLAS program has literature month where our students embrace the amazing world of books. We are always looking to collaborate with Latina authors, so please contact us with any information that may allow us to do so. We encourage our youth to become lifelong avid readers, and embody “The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”, Dr. Seuss.

We recommend the following books and would like to thank the authors for being a part of ELLAS and helping us deliver our mission of empowering youth. They continue to be an inspiration and we hope you enjoy their literature.
